Although they are rivals in the space industry—Musk runs SpaceX, while Bezos owns Blue Origin—they share some views on the future of humanity.
In a recent episode of the Lex Fridman Podcast, Bezos stated, "I think in a lot of these endeavors we're very like-minded." "I don't really know Elon very well," he continued, although he expressed interest in becoming friends with him.
When asked what he hoped would happen to humanity in hundreds or thousands of years when it is sent into space, he said:

He claimed that organizations like SpaceX and Blue Origin are building the space infrastructure so that later generations can construct even bigger projects.
